AITO Specialist Travel Agents launch - AITO Week with tour operators
3rd - 10th October 2009 - Visit your local travel agent and see what they have in store
On 3rd October, AITO Specialist Travel Agents will launch an exclusive AITO Week with agencies running a series of promotions, competitions, drinks, lunches and special window displays. One travel agency is even hosting a tennis tournament for customers!
The AITO Week will coincide with the launch of the new Special Occasions Brochure, the second in a series of brochures to be issued by AITO Specialist Travel Agents. Just some of the AITO members featuring in the brochure are well-known names like Anatolian Sky, Aspects of Tunisia, Baltic Holidays, Cadogan Holidays, Cedarberg African Travel, Classic Collection Holidays, Cox & Kings, CV Travel, Discover Ltd, Indus Tours & Travel Ltd, InsideJapan Tours, Kirker Holidays, Okavango Tours and Safaris Ltd, Prestige Holidays, Safari Consultants, Somak Holidays, Specialised Tours, Sunvil Traveller (Real Latin America), The Gambia Experience, TransIndus and Visions Holiday Group. For a copy of the brochure, contact your local AITO Agent or email: aitoagents@aito.com
Last year, Haslemere Travel in Surrey set up a special area - The Lounge - for one-to-one sessions between clients, tour operators and agency staff in addition to hosting a luncheon with Kirker Holidays at a local luxury hotel. Kitts Travel in Middlesex hosted the Kitts Cup Tennis Tournament, inviting 48 potential new clients to a mixed doubles competition. The prize draw was a week's accommodation at the luxurious Aphrodite Hill Resort in Cyprus.
Barry Moxley, AITO Specialist Travel Agents' Chairman, says: "As the leading organisation of specialist travel agents in the UK, we are always striving to innovate and strengthen our relationship with our customers. Offering a week of activities and promotions with some of the best tour operators in the business is one way of achieving that aim. We are not witnessing any slowdown in holiday bookings; the reason for this special week of activity is to offer our clients even more variety and the chance to meet special operators for themselves. Members will also take the opportunity when speaking with customer of the financial protection benefits of booking with an AITO Specialist Travel Agent. One of the very best added value benefits available is financial protection and peace of mind."
AITO Specialist Travel Agents are not attached to any major UK travel group, enabling them to specialise in a range of products that is not generally available through High Street chains. It is also important to note that AITO Agents are not constrained to suggest only AITO holidays. They are committed to selling the holiday that best suits each individual customer.
