What immunisations are recommended for Egypt (travelling along the Nile)? Also, is it necessary to cover my shoulders and legs when visiting sites of antiquity?

No inoculations are needed for travelling on the Nile. If you are susceptible to bites then it may be useful to ensure you have sting relief although I have never had a problem and have travelled the Nile several times. As far as covering yourself at Antiquities, this is recommended but not essential unless you are planning on visiting mosques, although I do feel that we should all respect their customs and religion and be sensible as to what one wears and I would recommend sensible dress when visiting such sights, also not forgetting that it can be very hot and you will be out in the open for a number of hours so covering yourself will also help to stop any chance of serious sunstroke.
