So far, 4.5 million tickets, or around 65 per cent of all tickets for the Beijing Olympic Games, have been sold so it is not too late to get your hands on a set and take in the action. The Beijing Organising Committee for the 2008 Olympic Games (BOCOG) allocates tickets to local Olympic Games committees and agencies in countries and regions around the world and the only legal channel through which to buy tickets at this stage is to apply to the British Olympic Association (BOA). Tickets and packages are available through the BOA’s official ticketing and tour agency Sportsworld. For more information and to book visit www.olympics.org.uk and click on the Sportsworld link. When browsing on the internet, beware of several unauthorised websites in existence, claiming to be official ticketing partners. If you are aware of any illegal websites contact the BOA Legal Department on 020 8871 2677. It is advisable to try to arrange your tickets for the Olympic Games in advance but it is certainly possible for visitors to buy tickets in box offices around the venues on arrival in Beijing.
